Well mine anyway. Hubbie took me out for lunch today, I had just one glass of wine whilst waiting for meal and one with meal yet went straight to my head. Was faling asleep in car on way home(no I wasnt driving!). Yet if I had drank that on the evening it wouldnt have had hardly any effect at all. very odd.

Could it have overlapped with that 'early' drink you had yesterday?
;o)
If you hadn't eaten much for breakfast, that might explain it.
You drink it faster when you're out.
I hardly ever drink now.

However when I did, I found that a lunchtime drink had a different effect to evening drinking.

There is the problem though that you either have to keep going, or you have that sleepy come down. A bit risky to keep drinking though!

lol, no nothing to do with yesterday. Feel fine now, just had cup of tea lol
I can't drink at lunchtime at all these days, otherwise I just nod off to sleep, snore and dribble down my chin, then wake up in a really foul mood. I'm fine for a few drinks in the evening, though. So I know what you mean, Smowball.
I don't know. Odd isn’t it. I can't drink even one glass of wine at lunch without it making me tired, but I can drink copious amounts in the evening without any effect. I’ve learnt to stick to water with lunch.
Is husband treating you a little better now?
Just one drink at lunchtime and I am pooped!
Depends to some degree when and what you had last eaten. 'Never eat on an empty stomach' is good advice simply because the drink goes straight down to be digested and the alcohol straight into you bloodstream; if I remember aright the pyloric valve (! Get him!) is open then and let's it pass but shuts off when you have food.
.By the evening, you'll have some food in you.
"never eat on an empty stomach" sounds like a short-cut to anorexia to me, FredPuli.
Dunno, I am the same, lunchtime imbibing makes me very sleepy.
LOL jno
didn't you have a funny turn a while back when you'd had a drink?
