Do you know of anyone who wishes to re-home a tortoise ??? I have recently lost mine- who died after 35 years ownership. I am therefore a keen & experienced tortoise owner minus the pet!! Can you help fill this gap for me. If so please reply. THANK YOU.

aww Dusty, sorry to hear of your loss. I'd suggest your vet would be a first port of call. Would you consider a wounded tortoise?

I'm sorry to hear of your bereavement - 35 years is a long time to have a friend who doesn't talk back or need walks.

As well as what alba suggests are there any rescue centres in your area?

This sanctuary near selsey west sussex has dozens of rescued tortoises.

May be worth asking them if they would place one with you

Aww, sorry to hear of your loss. Mine died a few years ago, I had her over 40 years and still miss her.
