Christianity, like all religions, have different sects, in which they believe in different thing,

Resurection and Immortality.

Your soul and body are seperated at death, your soul is immortal and cannot die, resurrection is when they are both reunited after the second coming. The fact that your body has either been turned into ashes, decomposed, and/or eaten by various creatures makes no difference, maybe you get a new body.

........ resurrection has been done once ........

...... and multiple times in New Labour 12 ......
oh, kempie!
Does Lazarus not count Tatty?

...... thanks, jake, Lazarus does indeed count and here he is at the very moment of return .......

Don't forget Jairus' daughter and the raising of the  widow's son!
Blimey they're coming up like beansprouts!

........ and here is Jairus' daughter, and here is the widow's son. Anymore for anymore? Roll Up, Roll Up, get your resurrections here .............

How about The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection, then, Tatty Rollox?

(I think this one was Botticelli, circa.1508)

Surprisingly Anglo-Saxon looking all these Jeususes (Jeusii ?? ) :c)

Begs an interesting question of whether there are any stories in the bible that have not been portrayed by works of art - maybe someone will pose it in arts and literature one day

Poor Tatty I'm afraid there are more, but your pics are so beautiful I have to keep looking.

To make it easier for you I'll name them and the relating bible passage - then leave it up to you, ok?

  1. A widow's son. 1 Kings 17: 17-24.
  2. A Shunammite woman's son. 2 Kings 4: 32-37.
  3. The man who touched Elisha's bones. 2 Kings 13: 20-21.
  4. The son of a widow. Luke 7: 11-15
  5. Tabitha (or Dorcas). Acts 9: 36-43.
  6. Eutychus. Acts 20: 9-10.

The last one is very funny - well, I think so anyway!

With this one of Elijah and the widow's son which I hope you will like, Cetti, I must sadly call a halt for the moment.

It's lovely Tatty - you really deserve a rest now.

Thanks, Cetti. I had overlooked including one on immortality, so, because of the date, end with The  Immortality of Nelson which, again, I hope you like.

Oh yes I certainly do, and as you say also very apt. This one will keep me occupied for ages,  Thank you.
Why do so many people need to believe that there is something else after death, is religeon just a cushion for life ?
