I've just had an induction hob fitted so had to sling most of my pans.
I've bought a seriously good set of solid looking stainless steel ones from Wilkinsons of all places (I think it is their Premier range)

The pans I have kept are all Le Creuset. They are the Rolls Royce of pans.
They weigh a ton, though, MrsO...
Let me get in before Mrs O

these are so retro, they are uber-cool.....
and they match her crockery.

Very pricey too. My arthritic wrist wouldn't cope with the weight.
Dammit, that is the same link. Click on the Premier link to see them Zacs

DT, you are not too big for a slap
Not cheap but good.....

also understand Debs and Tesco do good bargain ranges.

Le Creuset maybe heavy but they are for life.......

How about knives while you are at it?

We're ok for knives DT. Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
Again, have a look in Debenhams as they have 25% off this weekend.
Good luck
Sorry I was referring to the Aga pan range - excellent pans as to heat control and cleaning.....but not cheap

Cheers everyone. We're offski. Wish me luck. I may be some time.........
Meyer do an affordable and long lasting range of SS pans. If I was on the market to buy a new set of pans I would probably go for the Le Creuset stainless steel range. And if I was minted I would go for All Clad.
the All Clad square grill pans are fab.....
I adore All Clad and am fortunate enough to get a hefty discount. Even without the discount there is something very reassuring, pleasing and satisfying about their pans.
Mine came from the USA.....cheaper over there...and love their roasting tins
Luckily my discount is good enough to bring them below US prices and therefore don't impinge on my luggage allowance :-)

They are very pleasing pans!
prestige - lifetime guarantee. i have a set 20 yrs old and they are as good as the day i bought them x
oh - and they are very light and bounce well - not even leaving a dent.
