52 year old MS sufferer - 17 yr marriage - wife controlled finances, not even own bank account and house in her name £80000 inheritance put into her bank. On discharge from hospital 1 yr ago put him in flat. There is 105000 equity in house also wife has £180000 inheritance. Wife got a barrister hes not. What legally, realistically and ethically should he get (living on benefits at present)

This person needs urgently to get a solicitor or get in touch with the CAB for advice. Too complicated for an answer forum.
As Eddie says a number of issues here and you should consult a local solicitor, remember you do have rights and if you have lived in the matrimonial house, even if you are not named in the title deed, for a number of years you may have rights under the Matrimonial homes act 1983, now replaced by the Family law act 1996. Go and see a solicitor as soon as possible.
