Very good !
Very funny!

The only thing I can add to this is that the real word for exhaust - der Auspuff - make me chuckle when I first learned it.
Very good .
Years ago in Germany some friends came to visit .The were going to an Expo in Cologne .
They went off the following morning to find their car .Back they came .Couldn't find it .I asked them where and had they taken a note of the street .
The reply was that that they had parked on Einbahnstraße and we spent about two hours looking for it :-)
Autobahn exists are called Ausfahrt's....kept my kids amused for hours!
Hey, I live on Einbahnstrasse, too - not in Cologne, though.
My dad was convinced there was a place called Umleitung ...
Sunny Dave - there are lots of those.
Until I sussed the lingo it always amused me when ,if you were travelling somewhere somewhere they wished you Gute Fahrt :)
Im laughing so much I'm repeating myself !
@shaneystar2 - If I recall from schoolboy German in the late 60's - yep thats forty years and more - 'Einbahnstrasse' means one way street - might of needed explaining.
depends what you're looking for

Yes perhaps I should have explained that it means one way street :)
To look even more authentic, leave out the spaces, German words often run loads of nouns etc together. In the days of corridor trains, (Google it if you don't understand the concept) my husband always referred to them as Zugmitbog. Definition of a microsecond in Germany? The time between the lights changing and the car behind you hitting his horn.
