Mattresses are heavy. Do you vacuum your mattress regularly.
You could go the whole hog and buy dust mite killer and also give it a good hoover. Perhaps it's time to give it the last rites and invest in a brand new one!
You could go the whole hog and buy some dust mite killer+give it a good hoover. Perhaps it's time to give your mattress the last rites and buy a brand new one? (It is 10 year old)
This sounds like one of those urban myths that the internet distribute so effectively.
A good quality mattress has to have some weight because of the products used in its manufacture.
The notion that skin and mites would account for 12 kilos extra weight for a 50 kg double mattress is bonkers.
However, being of a suspicious bent I am now bracing myself for a link for a 'hygienic mattress'.....
Turn it regularly - hoover it. What do you mean, too heavy in weight?
...but I'm sure you're going tell us :-)
I am also wondering when an advert for a mattress selling website is going to be advertised.
My mum had her mattress for over 20 years. It mad a lovely bonfire!
Aren't you going to be ten years older than the last time you had to shift it? Depending how old you are this might account for perceived extra weight.
I think the recommendation is to change it more often than that anyway mines due a change but it is soooo comfortable
We had ours for about 15 years (oh the shame!) it was truly knackered by the end to the point where getting into bed became a kind Russian roulette- would we get impaled by a broken spring or not?
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear mattress,
Happy birthday to you.
Yippee ! Yey ! My, haven't you grown !
I used to sleep on bare boards, but after 20 years the accumulation of dead cells and dust mites underneath me has actually made it quite comfortable
i slept in a drawer for years :(
anneasquith, you don't know you were born, 16 of us had to sleep in a shoe box, and be glad of it lol.
Shoebox? You were lucky, we ad it rough.
25 of us slept on a dishcloth ont' middle o' M6
LOL, are you from Yorkshire.
tonyav, I've been telling someone from Pontefract for the past few weeks to get on answer bank. I told them again on the 20th Feb. Ah well, it might be a coincidence that angelrich signed up for the first time on that date. I could be totally wrong!
