Good evening all!
Just to let you know I was back at the hospital today! I had hoped following the call from them the other week all was good but....alas not! I'm going to have to have a hysterectomy as they found some stray cells lurking around. Because my colcoscopy was pretty drastic they think it's best to just whip out the whole lot.
Strange isn't it....the consultant said ' I assume your family is complete' and I answered yes but at that moment in time I wanted nothing more than to hold a baby of my own on my arms. I'm so very lucky to have my kids.
Wishing you all the best, Lisa. I'm sure it will all go well and keep thinking about that lovely holiday in June to keep your spirits up! I went to Thailand for my honeymoon and loved it and I'm sure you will too!
Opps posted too soon!
Those close to me have been great. I've actually started to call in all those 'if there's anything I can do to help' favours.
I have a gang of lads to help walk the dogs and my daughters mates are threatening to come in and cook, not sure if thats a good thing though ;0) My ex is falling over himself to help out....that feels a little strange but hey...he owes me!
I don't drive but have two mates arguing over all of my travel arrangements and my best mate wants to move in! I told him to sod off though as he's too messy....
Feels good to be loved!
Better to be safe than sorry you have your children, be glad you are still here to enjoy your life with them. Best of luck with the hysterectomy. When I had mine done the surgeon said they were taking out the carrycot and leaving me with a playroom. :-)
Lisa - I am thinking of you. I went through the same many years ago, convinced my family was complete and then wondered. However, that soon passed and I am pleased I had it done.
Good luck for the future.
