Hi all. Thought I'd post a little update, seeing as so many of you lovely people sent your best wishes, and asked me to keep you informed...

I visited little sis in hospital today, after she had her op yesterday.
She was seriously groggy, and very frail, but is doing well. All went well with the operation and they've removed what they need to, and there wasn't any need to do a full hysterectomy... which is fantastic news for her, and something positive she's clinging onto.
She looked well, considering, yet she didn't stop scratching the whole time I was there... a side effect of the anesthetic or morphine, I believe?
She was due to come out on Friday, but she thinks they're keeping her in for longer now. As I said, it doesn't matter how long she's in there... she just needs to concentrate on getting herself better.
She was quite teary, which made me feel a bit sad too, but I was just so proud of how well she's done. She's my little fighter!

Without sounding bad, all this has made us closer than ever. My nerves have been shot to bits this past month or so, but suddenly there seems a light at the end of that very dark tunnel.

I gave her a massive hug before I left, and told her she was a bag of bones. She tried to laugh, but I think it hurt a bit. I told her I'd sort that out when she comes to stay with me... fatty goodness all the way! :P

Thanks for all the nice words many of you have given. It's been amazingly comforting... xx

lots of love yogi xxx
Thanks for letting us know, hope it all goes well and she will soon be home with you for lots of tlc which I know you'll be dishing out. Best of luck for all that is to come.
Thanks so much for keeping us updated, things like this do bring us closer. You will have a lovely girly time together when she gets out. Take care of you too.♥
So pleased to hear that she didn't have to have a hysterectomy (I know being alive is more important than future children, but it is something positive for her to hang on to). Lovely to know that she has someone to look after her. You need to look after yourself too, you'll be no good to her if you are poorly, x.

Thanks guys :)

She is going to get tons of TLC when she comes to stay with me. I'm going to look after her and just make sure she's happy... that's all that matters to me. Thanks again. xx
Good news Flip - and yes, the scratching is a side effect of anaesthetic. Sounds like little sis is going to get all the TLC she needs. Take care x

Thanks Jan. I know she's got a way to go yet, but she's positive, it's hard to be any different.
Thanks Ummmm :-)
What a lovely sister you are. Everyone should have someone just like you.. take good care of her,and also take good care of yourself. My thoughts are with you both xx

Mumsie, that is SO nice :-))x
That's good new Flip. Just a word of warning - she may get very, very down in the next few days, but it'll be a result of coming off morphine. I remember thinking mr mac was spiralling into a depression the first time I saw it, but after a few days he was fine - so try not to worry too much if it happens with sis x
Lovely news. Please pass on our good wishes for a speedy recovery. xx
God bless and watch over you both Flip x

Karen, she didn't like the morphine at all. She was apparently very, very sick after it this morning... she'd had it during the night.
Funny you should say that though, as she was very teary today. Now I know that's to be expected, but it was very randomly so.

Thanks BD and Ann :-) x
Yeah, that's what mr mac was like - in fact he would get teary for no reason for a good wee while afterwards, but it did wear off x
