'WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1000 AL QAEDA TERRORISTS THAN WITH ONE SINGLE BRITISH SOLDIER!'

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in
CAMPBELTOWN, SCOTLAND.

You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.

After all, it is ONLY A SIGN.
You may say 'What kind of business would dare to post such a sign?'

Answer:

A FUNERAL PARLOUR.
(WHO SAID SCOTTISH UNDERTAKERS HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOUR?)

But you don't do business with dead people at a funeral parlour, you do it with their relatives....
Man goes into the main Library in Glasgow.

Confronted by a dour woman, heavy tweed suit, horn rimmed glasses.

He asks, "Der yae have a book on suicide then?"

"Awae wi ye, yae nae be bringin' it back!"
maybe they should have said ''scottish soldiers'' as they want independance so badly....
lol
Well posted corbyloon. Utter tripe.
Mmmmm..... my daughter has a 'friend' who's dad is a Scot, I have a niece who's husband's dad is a Scot - both are 'local' (Engish) born, never set foot in Scotland. Both say they would rather any country in the world win football world cups or Olympics than Great Britain.

You know what, when folk send you something vaguely witty that you want to share you don't really expect dogs abuse for it...IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DONT READ IT!! No wonder folks get pi$$ed off in here
Maybe if you'd posted this in jokes we would have known it was supposed to be funny.
Slapshot, I see nobody getting at you, stop getting aerated - although it's not a joke, is it, it's a real story.
Thats just the point tho bishops it's NOT a real story. If you do a google search you'll see that it's virtually a worldwide phenomenon and tantermount to 'inciting racial hatred'. Slapshot admits it is inflammatory.
Bishops = Boxtops ( stoopid spell checker)
Yes, I see that now :-) (I don't mind being a bishop for the day!)
Why do people get so annoyed when the daft stories they are happily spreading around the internet turn out to be made up?

If people would do a Google search with all of these daft shared emails/stories etc this problem would go away.
Not everyone (most, probably) don't bother to research whether their true and so the nastiness is perpetuated.
I've been guilty of that :-( a daft story comes round on email, or a warning, and I think ooh! and whiz it round to my friends. Never used to think about checking it out first.
Boxtops, you are in the vast majority which supports my argument. This post should really be reported and removed.
"IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DONT READ IT!! " does the same not apply to "dog's abuse" I wonder? It was the mention of "freedom of speech" and "liberty" that set off alarm bells and the Snopes site confirmed it.
We can't tell that we don't like until we've read it - what a daft suggestion.
I was thinking the very same thing but rather than say that I thought that if it was meant to work for us then the same should apply to Slapshot.
