One can only guess that the body has been there for some time, in light of the cold case enquiries that are commencing.

It's not her mouldering under the Sandringham sod then.
not one of the princes in the tower then, since they were reportedly male
why do some people pathetically bring colour and race into any sensible post on here? its getting stupid now.
some relative they were ashamed of or a chambermaid who found herself in an 'interesting condition' many years ago
Fergie has been very quiet lately.
Did she gatecrash Christmas with the Royals?
The punishment seems a bit extreme.

Joking apart - God help the family (families) of whoever it is.
I imagine Claudia Lawrence's father has his heart in his mouth, at the moment...
its a very large estate so a body could be dumped there discretely shouldn't think the royals know all of it particularly well
there's not a lot of basis for speculation at the moment; it could be a medieval plague burial or anything at all. Still, it's always fun to try to drag the royals into it.
Better than a game of Cluedo - anyone taking bets? Joking aside, if a cold case is solved then some poor family might find closure.

Latest reports suggest it is the body of a young female who has been dead somewhere between 1 and 4 months.
One family will unfortunately soon get the confirmation they've been dreading, cold comfort though it will be that they will no longer be hoping against hope.
Dutch TV had this story 24 hours before the BBC. One wonders why.
the BBC prefers to get the story right rather than getting it first. They wouldn't publish it until they were sure it was correct, whereas a tabloid might take a chance.

But they ran the story on Monday evening, as I recall, the day after the body was found.
