35mm negative scanner

I am searching for a 35mm negative and slide scanner. I have read several reviews and mainly the most signifcant complaint is lack of colour resolution and the like but noone says which photo editing software is used if any. Any ideas please

Thank you. Most of the reiews I read did not seem encouraging and I suspected that it was more due to editing softaware rather thanthe scanner so I'll look again. Thanks again and have a Happy New Year.
