Hadn't been in bed 20 munutes last night when some kindly neighbour decided to have a dress rehearsal for tonight by setting off a salvo of fireworks. Managed to get back to sleep only to wake 10 minutes or so later in a cold sweat with somebody trying to shoot me and mrs jd. Now wide awake. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

A dream trt, well, more like a nightmare. Probably something to do with the noise of the fireworks!

You didn't mention the time at which your neighbour decided to wake you up. It's legal to set off fireworks until 11pm on any night of the year. (The deadline is extended to midnight on 5th November, and to 1am at New Year, Chinese New Year and Diwali).
