ebay sellers - Is it a really bad idea to have ebay auctions ending on Christmas Day, or is there no difference?

Here, in the U.S., the best ending to an auction is Friday evening, after 7:00PM. An article was written about your subject (can't find it right now) that stated Christmas Day (evening) is a good time for an aution listing to end, since the adults are bored and there's nothing very good to watch on their new 60 inch Plasma TV. New Year's Day, on the other hand has a lot of football (American style) games on for competition...
It is a good idea to make ANY auction and on an evening or weekend/holiday. If you have a desirable item they can't start a bidding war at the end when they are at work, well most can't.
boxing day would be better because of the post-xmas malaise! x
I don't bother doing ebay over Christmas as I find that unless you are have Christmas related items nothing sells. Or at least my vintage photographic stuff doesn't.
I would set it to finish a few days after Xmas, as loads will see it when surfing the net, bored.
