Please help with these two:

4 down Essential media mixed with it could be indiscriminate. (9 Letters) I-TRI---C I think it might be INTRINSIC but cannot see why

15 across Stripper finishes early in classic position (5 letter) L-C--

If i6 down is correct as CHROMATIC then it should be LOTUS ?

Thank you

locus
Or maybe lotus. I can partly justify both but neither justification seems adequate

Thank you factor 30 - a gem as always
I don't understand why you say L?C?? then say you thing it could be LOTUS
I prefer LOCUS as in position as in LOCUST (stripper) cut short
Question Author
LOTUS is a position, but I guess I may have 16 down wrong as CHROMATIC, thus allowing a T to be the middle letter of 15 across.

Your last suggestion sounds to be the clincher
What is the clue to 16d?
Hussar - I've got Chromatic for 16d too
16d clue - Colourful coach trim vandalised
intrinsic = anagram of indiscriminate without the letters of media
locus (locus classicus)
intrinsic
locus (locus classicus)
intrinsic
