My brother and his fiancée split last week after 6 years together, very very sad.
My brother lived with her in her mums house, so he was effectively homeless but she was gracious enough to allow him time to find somewhere to live and is stopping still with her.
Any way after a week of mad ringing round and a few viewings hes found somewhere and was just going to start the paper work off,so hopefully he will be moved in a week. Typical though that the only other person who private rents property is me so even my dads been directing him to me to help. shame though im 220 miles away :( but hey hes got somewhere happy dance time!!!

It's sad when a relationship ends.

You're a good sister and I hope he appreciates that. (He might need reminded of that from time to time!!)

I hope he'll be happy in his new place.

lol hes getting what the family calls a 'nan' parcel, with home starter bits tea towels cleaning stuff vac pacs flat pop up boxes and a few other bits n bobs and a drawing from titch to decorate his fridge lol.
Love it, a 'nan' parcel:)

When we were decorating this place before we moved in, it was the silly things which were missed. Tea-spoons being one. Our stuff was in storage.
I lost track of how many times I'd go to a shop to pick up silly stuff over the 2 weeks.

i told him to get at least 12 teaspoons lol,as apart from the sock fairy theres a teasooon magpie fairy. Hes never lived on his own before so the parcel will come in handy, going to start getting bits tomorrow when i go back to to town. nan used to put in non perishable food stuff but it was stuff which never got used like prunes!
there should be a law against prunes.

Don't forget hand towels and bath towels. Shampoo and washing up liquid :)
Oh and bars of soap.

hes got towels and shower bits, will be buying him a twin pack of washing up liquid from the pound shop its just as good as fairy lol. He works for Asda up there and gets his christmas voucher next week so got that for pots n pans and cutlery. he isnt the tidiest creature so can see him phoning me asking how to do things lolx
He might surprise you and everyone on the tidy front!!

Don't forget a cutlery tray and a couple of mixing bowls.

Asda might just be the best place for him to work as he's setting up his own place. (That is supposed to sound helpful, not rude)

Oooh, and a bath mat or shower mat or whatever they're called these days.

a babys magic carpet, if you are reffering to the in the bath. he dosnt have a shower in this flat and it comes furnished so all plus's and has bathroom carpets, oh god just checked hes got some sort of lino in the bathroom the stuff that looks fluffy lol. ah sure he will be fine, but i have to worry till hes settledx
Most of my suggestions will probably be redundant as it comes furnished.

The most important will be the drawing from titch xx

It won't stop you worrying, he'll be fine.
