Evening all, can anyone remember anything about a kids tv programme from the 70's, it used to be on after school and was similar in format to Captain Pugwash. It was comical and about King Arthur and the round table. What I distinctly remember is that Sir Lancelot addressed the King as Ssssssire, the Sssssss being a whistling sound. Some friends remember the same as me but we can't think of the title. I'll check back tomorrow as 6-2 looms. TIA...Dagman

Arthur! And the Square Knights of the Round Table

Arthur! And the Square Knight of the Round Table it is, I love this show too. Sadly only a few episodes were available on video tape, and the same few are on DVD.
Just though, if you wanted a show that was made in the same style as Captain Pugwash, there was always Sir Prancelot, but there was no King Arthur in that series...

Thanks all for your help, Arthur and the Square Knights of the Round Table is the one. Obviously not like Captain Pugwash as that was pictures with the odd movement so maybe I've got mixed up with both. Don't remember this was a cartoon but I like the youtube links and the more I see it the more I remember. I didn't ever see King Rollo, very like Mr Benn in style (how did I miss it when I were a young un?). thanks again.
