The theory of the evolution of man is the product of science at its most ridiculous. Adam and Eve were two adult human beings created by God just after he created the universe. They were the first and only people on the planet, and they were the forebears of the whole human race.

So how do creationists account for the diverse physical appearances of the assortment of peoples inhabiting the earth today? It stands to reason that most of them do not bear a family resemblance.

Keyplus -

You once again display your ignorance and prejudice to everyone. If your opinions were not so sincerely held I would have to assume that you're attempting to be satirical. You seem to saying that drug abuse (including alcohol) is the major factor in child abuse. When some who actually knows and works with victims of sexual abuse - such as Ummm - states quite categorically, “... I can honestly say that alcohol plays no part in making someone a disgusting pervert...”, you continue with your assumption that drugs and alcohol are a major factor. You attempt to mitigate your earlier statements by saying, “... Obviously I did not say that anyone who drinks has incest sex...”, but you're still suggesting that alcohol and drugs are a major factor in sexual abuse cases.

You further state, “... Or do you [Ummm] say that it [incest] happens but not under the influence of alcohol or any other drug? Or do you say that it does not happen at all...?”

Oh dear me. Words almost fail me. You really are a complete idiot Keyplus. You are using the 'false dilemma' argument again. You do like this one and I find it amusing that you still don't seem to understand why it's such a moronic method of argument, even though I have explained it many, many, times. Please, please, do yourself a favour and read this link...

What you are doing Keyplus, is attempting to link drug abuse and alcohol abuse with sexual deprivation. This is convenient for you because Islam forbids the imbibing of alcohol and the consumption of 'drugs'. Ergo, those people who chose to imbibe and 'pollute' their bodies are, by Islamic definition, immoral. And if they're immoral... well... they could do anything couldn't they? Including sexual abuse and all manner of lascivious behaviours.

Odd then, that the Prophet of Islam – Mohammed - chose to take a child bride named Aisha when she was just six years old. We are told that he did this entirely soberly – no alcohol or drugs were involved. Having taken this child as his wife, he did not have sexual intercourse with her until she reached the grand old age of nine. Again, no drugs or alcohol were consumed before, during or after the consummation of this marriage.

Of course, Mohammed's actions were completely above board and not in the least bit paedophilic. How could they be? He was a Prophet of God. Anyone else who attempts this type of thing must be on drugs!
Islamic thinking on the age of consent...
Yes but Birdie, the Prophet (piece be upon him) did it, therefore it is morally ok to have sex with nine year old.

But Mohammed (pbuh) didn't drink, therefore it is immoral to drink.

See, Islamic morality is simple.

Mohammed (pbuh) wrote the book therefore he (pbuh) is perfect. The perfect man (pbuh) wrote the book therefore the book is perfect. The perfect book was written by the man (pbuh) therefore he (pbuh) is perfect.

The speaker in Birdie's video link talks of marriage contracts between men and young girls - some as young as one year. He says there is no lower age limit. He then asks 'Is the girl ready for sex or not?', and 'What is the appropriate age for having sex for the first time?'

Answer: 'This varies according to environment and tradition'.

No mention of the little girl then? Why am I not surprised?
This post is going way off subject, although I can see the route.... BTW Cain and Abel are supposed to have gone forth and married women from outside the Garden of Eden area, so although A&E were the chosen couple, there were obviously shedloads of people elsewhere in the area who weren't mentioned in the original story. No mention of anyone lying with their children, not in the Garden of Eden story. You're making this bit up.
Question Author
Boxy, who's making it up? It's what religion teaches. If Adam and Eve were the first and only two people on earth, and parents of all humanity, then logically incest must have occurred many times. That's the only possible way the human race could have arisen.

However, although that's what religion teaches, it isn't what the bible says. The earth was populated before the appearance of Adam and Eve - so you're quite right - there were other people around. We know there were certainly people inhabiting the Land of Nod (wherever that was!), because that's where Cain found his wife. (As far as we know Abel didn't marry anyone - he was already dead).
Yes naomi - that's my point. The fable of A&E being the only two is not borne out in the Bible - it's taught, but not in the literature.
Question Author
Boxy, so who's making it up? It can only be religion.
IMO, the religious leaders who put it about that there was nobody else, only A&E.
Question Author
No, not religious leaders - religion itself. All Abrahamic religions concur with the doctrine.
...but it's not in the Bible, the Bible refers to those other people, so those who teach that there was nobody before A&E are misguided.
Question Author
Therefore religion is misguided.
Surprise surprise, my answer was removed.

I just expressed my revulsion of these Muslim laws and cultures.

They really do disgust me and every "normal" person in the civilised world im sure!!
Thats the problem with the Bible Boxy, it contradicts itself over and over, this is just one of the reasons it is so unbelievable and ridiculous.
