I had arranged for a mobile dog groomer to come to the house at 8 this morning. He hasn't bothered to turn up and didn't have the manners to call and excuse himself from the arrangment. I declined an invitation to an open day on blood cancers with a nice lunch thrown in because I deemed Alfie more important. I'm severely hacked off.

I suppose the groomer could have been mauled by another dog, thus rendering him incapable of phoning.
