When I am using a Word doc, and wish to open a new, blank doc, I click on 'new', and am presented with an option of a new blank page or a 'new blog post'. How can I get rid of the blog post, and indeed hopefully click on 'new', then have a new, blank folder open up?

Hold down Ctrl and hit N and it will immediately open a blank document
Or...
Rightt click the office button and choose "Customize Quick Access Tool Bar"
On the left, click on New (no eliipsis) and click add
On the right click, on New... (ellipsis) and click remove

This will replace the New... (which gives you options), with New (which doesn't)

Many thanks - I prefer option 2! Don't have to remember - it's always there!
