Does it really get worse with age? Or is it just tiredness?

Just went to send a message to a family member on facebook and when I opened my messages I'd already sent it early this morning.

Also....I rarely remember going to bed. Nothing to do with drink btw...But as soon as I feel that I have to go to sleep I work on auto pilot and don't remember going upstairs.

So....age or in need of early nights?

I can remember as far back as to when I was about 18 months old..
not bad for a 60+ huh?
I've always had a poor memory. My OH can remember everything and so I now rely on his memory as my external hard drive!

So is my Grandads Bobbi....unless he has to remember our names :-)

Probably the latter Rowan. I actually turn the computer on to ask a specific question and by the time it's started up I've forgotten.

I don't hold out much hope for my future...
Mine's like your nudgescuffler. I remember certain things but have to rely more and more on little notes and reminders.

Sometimes its amusing, sometimes its very depressing, but always reassuring to see these posts as I know now that its fairly normal.

Only a matter of time nudgescuffler. Tell me you've never gone upstairs and forgotten what you went for? :-)
I hope he's feeling a bit better today btw u.m.m.m
Oh I have done that alright Maidup...called absent minded..lol
^^ My post should read u.m.m.m. for the first nudgescuffler and Bobbie_sox for the second.
don't worry Maidup, we know why it comes up as it does :-)

Not really Bobbi.....
Well its the short term memory that goes first, I have a perfectly good long term memory but my short term memory is absolutely rubbish, another symptom of Dyslexia it appears.

and old age unfortunately:(

I saw a brilliant birthday card, it said "I remember when rock was young... but I can't remember what I came upstairs for" - I know that feeling!
