Extra Sky+ Channels?

We got Sky+ recently and the guy who installed it programmed in a few extra channels that we can watch but cannot record. These include ITV, ITV+1, ITV3, ITV3+1 etc. However I've noticed that although we also get the ITV2 channel we do not get the ITV2+1 channel.

I'm just wondering is there any way to program in ITV2+1 and also are there perhaps other channels available which were not programmed in by the installer? By the way we are in Ireland, I'm not sure if that has any relevance to the channels which will be available or the frequencies etc.

Any info greatly appreciated, thanks.

Also if there are any extra HD channels could you let me know. We did not get the HD package and so only have BBC HD at them moment.

The 'extra' channels you list are no 'extra' they come with the Sky+ package as normal so you should be able to record them as you can the other channels. You should also get ITV2+ as the norm and be able to record it.

Hope that helps!

As I say, as we are in Ireland we do not get all the ITV channels on the EPG, we need to program some of them into Other Channels
Your dish will be pointing at '28 degrees east', which is the collective name (and location) for a group of satellites. While your (Irish) Sky subscription will give you access to certain encrypted channels, ANY satellite receiver fed from a dish pointing at 28 degrees east should be able to receive the non-encrypted channels shown in this list (which includes tuning details):

Chris, in the UK do viewers have access to RTE 1&2, TnaG, TV3, and 3e, which are the 5 Irish channels? On our Sky system they number from 101 to 105 wthe Sky1 being on 106. We also get BBC1&2 on channels 141 and 142 and BBCHD on 143. We can then program in ITV2, 3 & 4 and the +1 channels into the Other Channels section but we cannot see what programmes are on, bar Now&Next for those, also we cannot record them.

Can UK viewers receive the Irish ones through Other Channels or do you receive them in your EPG on a different number?
