Really enjoyable & satisfying crossword - but I've no idea about the "highlight a cryptic seven-letter represation"
Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

Hi Ripper
I'm also enjoying this one, but am not quite as near to completion as you are so am asking a question. I have convinced myself that my answers for the consecutive clues starting "Swimmer" and "Kay" are correct, but they are not strictly in alphabetical order - just their first letters. Can this be right?

Hi Indy-trier
I hadn't spotted that till you said, so I think we have the same answers. Have you got the theme? If not, let me know and I'll try to come to your rescue!
Also if you have any ideas on the 7-letter representation - do let me know!
Thanks Ripper
I have several vague ideas as to theme but no idea re the 7 letters yet. I'm also finding that the clue starting "Hardy" also fits this "not strictly in alphabetical order" pattern and I'm having my doubts about some earlier ones so I think I've been a bit side-tracked!

Hi Indy-trier
Me too with "hardy"
So it must be a case of "great minds thinking alike"!!?
As a first hint: If you've found the 19 misprints you aren't far from a title (12 letters); parse appropriately (3 parts) and find 1st and 3rd parts in grid.
Re Hardy clue; mine does fit! (note, hardy contains the misprint)
P.S. Agree that Swimmer & Kay answers do not appear in alphabetical order.

Thanks stymied
I'll have another look at the grid

Got it!
Thanks stymied & everyone
Congrats Ripper! I thought it a rather satisfying ending after last weeks damp squib.
Can anyone explain the parsing of the 'Vacantly' clue, please? I have the puzzle solved, but the logic of this clue beats me. The first three words give me 3 letters, and the last 3 words are the (misprinted) definition, as I read it. Where do the last two letters of the answer come from?
Laphria - I wondered if a word got missed out, and the original clue should have read "...railway map from Berlin."
Makes sense, Slaney. It will let me sleep tonight anyway!
