Reasons to be Happy -Late Holiday

Off to Albania on Monday for a late two week holiday. Why Albania? Worked there for a year and loved it, most friendly, hospitable race of people you could ever want to meet.

When holidaying in North East Corfu we used to look across the water at Albania in the distance and could see the buildings etc. We were told differently - of drug pushing (several Albanians were arrested in Sidari when we were there) Corfu boats being highjacked with fishermen held at gunpoint etc. I took photos of the mainland and ports of Albania from our hotel in Corfu and when zoomed up on the computer it looks such an austere place, all concrete buildings and quite off putting. Is it really how it is maggie? Also are there any beaches?
