The messages on their website kept promising that things would be back to normal soon but the one on Thursday finally announced (the much-delayed) delivery of the hardware from their supplier. Everything seems normal again.
No web service is immune from possible hardware failures (or software malfunctions). Some Tesco Bank customers still seem to be having difficulty accessing their accounts, well over a week after the system went down!
I had so many problems with gawab that I went back to my btinternet address as I discovered they had not disowned me after all! I kept the gawab one as well in case there were some people who had not got the bt address. Am I glad I did!
