When the box is connected to the television the box is ok for a few seconds then it
switches off.
It was tried just being connected to the mains on its own and the same thing happened.
Anyone got any ideas?

There is a technical term for what has gone wrong with the box, but I fear the AB filter would censor it.

Take it back to the supplier and swap it for a decent Brand.
Mickey Mouse brands gives you all sorts of Mickey Mouse problems

Thank you HOPKIRK - it definately is.
Thank you REDMAN41 - it cost £19 a few years ago so I will suggest to them that it is binned, they have had a good deal.
