Yes, actually he was very serious/syri-as. He saw some travel programme and it appealed to him as somewhere very different and untouristy. We like to stay away from the madding crowds.

Go to Brunei Salla. Fabulous and very different and not very touristy - although it may be getting that way. You can then travel into Borneo and see all the monkeys!!
