I have Windows XP Operating System with Messenger bundled in and 'hidden' within the Programs (does not show up on Control Panel ADD/DELETE programs).

The problem is my webcam is working BUT has stopped working with Messenger.

I need to DELETE Messenger program(s) from XP, and then reinstall separately ...

Can someone tell me HOW to do so.

thanks

These days it's part of Windows Live - look in Add/remove programs for Windows Live Essentials and uninstall that.

You may also see a couple of other Windows Live entries there, but I don't think you have to remove them as well.

thank you Huderon
Huderon .. You have no idea.
Add/Remove .. Windows components (LHS) / look in list for Messenger .. uncheck.
We are now using Windows Live Messenger, the latest version you will need.

If you only use Messenger and Live Mail .. uninstall the other components.
