If I am not mistaken he has a previous award, a CBE I think, and the rules are that you have to wait a minimum of six years before you are eligible for another one. So all the moaning from his fans over the past couple of years naturally fell on deaf ears. He's got it now so let's hope he does the sensible thing and retires and spares us any more of his excrutiatingly unfunny jokes.
