Have just read about BGT contestant Jean Martyn that Boo posted the other day.
It seems that Ms Martyn is an international star and plays at concerts all over the world and has made recordings.Do you think this is fair that someone who has already appeared in front of royalty should be on this programme and would the bosses not know that she already has a career?
Personally I can't stand to watch the woman and her piano playing is not all that.
For those you of a certain age who remember Winifred Atwell and Mrs Mills you will know what I mean.

I said much the same at the time, but have you seen the latest too concerning ronan parke and how he WILL win. Something wrong with this programme I think.

It's Britains got talent. As long as they have talent they should be free to enter a talent contest.
Ialso noticed that the camera never once showed her fingers as they did with the piano player on monday. She could have been sat in front of a pre programmed keyboard for all we know.

If that's true about Ronan then I for one will not watch this prog again. Will wait to see who wins on Saturday but don't think I'll waste my money on a phone call if it's already been decided who will win.

Do you think All the contestants that will be in the semi final and final will have been 'invited' to appear?
The final - probably as they will all be commercially viable to SC.
The semi's no. there is a lot of cannon fodder to make up the numbers. How else can you explain last nights poodle and the guy whose only apparent talent was to bulge his eyes etc.
I must admit (being a Norfolk resident) that I did wonder how Ronan managed to speak as he does when his parents obviously have very broad Norfolk accents.

None of this surprises me at all.

In my opinion nothing is genuine on such shows as BGT and X Factor. It is all orchestrated.

The whole thing has now gone past its sell by date in my opinion. I am really surprised that people still watch these programmes so avidly and are so gullible.

Oh dear. I must admit I am one of those gullible people and although I have heard before that these shows are 'fixed' I have chosen to ignore that as I do enjoy watching 'new talent' shows, but now this seems to be true that certain acts are chosen by SC to appear then I wouldn't be able to watch without thinking are they genuine or not.
I have enjoyed some of the acts over the years Miss Prim, but from the little I have seen this year, they have run out of talent!!

The very first one was quite enjoyable and something new, but it has gone steadily downhill.

I would rather just watch a talent show with people chosen by talent spotters and no judging whatsoever. I also hate all the sob stories, etc. that go with the shows and pad the show out to last nearly all evening. There is a real lack of proper variety shows on the TV nowadays. However, obviously the ratings for BGT etc are still high otherwise they wouldn't still be on.
I seem to remember that Susan Boyle had made a cd before she was famous!
On the news today it says that the CID are investigating the Ronan Parke thing!
