How many degrees are there if you add all the angles of a regular pentagon? Is there a web site where you can find out stuff like this for my son's homework? Thanks in advance

you should be able to find what you need here, its a great site.

just in case you still need it - in any regular polygon the interior angles should always add up to 360 degrees.
Jules - what about an equilateral triangle? Isn't that 180 deg?!
It's the exterior angles which add up to 180 degrees.  Try splitting the pentagon up into triangles by joining one vertex (corner) to each of the other vertices.
How can the exterior angles of a triangle add up to 180? The interior angles are 60 deg each, aren't they?

For any regular polygon the sum of the internal angles is given by  (no. of sides - 2) x 180

Triangle = (3-2) x 180 = 180
Square = (4-2) x 180 = 360
Pentagon = (5-2) x 180 = 540
Hexagon = (6-2) x 180 = 720

etc.

oops - I menat the exterior angles always add up to 360 degrees - sorry!!
