This sounds really stupid but I have always wanted to be a mascot or some type, or basically in a huge suit and meet people for fun. Of course they have full time jobs for this in theme parks, of which there are none near me. I have applied for the London marathon to run in a full suit but still not got a place. There must be other voluntary positions that involve this type of role like football mascot but I don' t follow football so even if there was a position I could see them saying I need to know the sport etc. Is there any other type of mascot?

I am thinking of starting my own charity anyway so maybe I should order my own costume made to support my charity and then I also benefit from the time I spend out in it, but you can't just walk down the street in it in Plymouth probably get my 'bum' kicked. Maybe wait for local events and then ask to go along to canvass or collect for my charity in costume?

Any thoughts, are there people who are freaked out at mascots? So kids cry because they are scared lol

When I was younger Wimpy cafe's used to have a man in a Mr Wimpy suit stand outside. One day a group of us were feeling a little mischevious to say the least.

We tipped the poor man on his side and rolled him down the hill through the town centre! Still makes me laugh. I was so naughty back then.

For many years we attended Waltham Abbey Carnival dressed in animal suits, hired from a company in central London called Theatre Zoo. You can enter any carnival in the fancy dress section or just offer to take round a collecting bucket, they will be more than happy to have your help.
When I was a little girl my dad's firm always had a Christmas Party for the kids and they had three or four giant papier mache heads that the men used to dance round wearing and pick the kids up in their arms - I was traumatised!
