Look in your local yellow pages, ring a gardener, ask him his hourly rate. :-)
is that a gardener using your own tools or bringing his own including a lawnmower?
You wouldn't happen to be a gardener yourself would you, Vince??
Rates vary according to where you live and the complexity of your garden. We pay around £50 for front and back garden to have grass cut, weeds removed etc. They bring all equipment and there are two people. Usually takes a couple of hours.
Midlands is around 16-18 quid an hour for general maintenance.
We pay £7:50 a week for the front & back lawn to be cut. He supplies his own mower etc & takes the grass away.
I'll do it, i need work!
Its a 'how long is a piece of string' thing, we dont quote for an 'hourly rate' as the amount of work carried out and experience of the operator varies tremendously. Get a quote for the job per visit. Or an annual cost split monthly
