I am due a sabbatical in Nov - 4 weeks on full pay to do something that 'enhances my mind and/or body'. I'm stuck on what to do?! People tend to use the time to go travelling but I'll have already had my summer hols by then (we're going to a wedding so the location and time were out of our hands). Any great ideas that won't cost a fortune?

Oh lucky you..... 4 weeks' full pay? Is this part of your job then?
lucky you, contact your local college see what short term courses they are running
A sabbatical eh ? Ask our resident witch about getting invited on their next Sabbat.

Or hide away from it in a monastery somewhere ?
Get Thee To A Nunnery....

or one of those retreat-type things. Just medidate, sleep, read and loll about in the garden all day. Nice.
Write a book about your life, perhaps? They say that there is a book in everyone, and this is the best time to do this, or you could stay on AB for all of that time.
Do something scary.... a bungee jump, going down a cave, white water rafting... anything that pushes yuo a mile out of your comfort zone... handle a tarantula....
I'd love to take four weeks and go learn a language where its spoken natively.
You could walk most of the Camino de Santiago in that time.
I didn't know companies could still afford to give sabbaticals - gee, I wish I could get one, but with the NHS in its current financial state, we are lucky to get study leave at the moment.
we no longer even get time off for medical appointments
I'd go with the scary option...great for personal growth
