I personnaly think that the DailyMail has gone too far this time, in printing these horrendous pictures of this young man's final moments.
Surely it was enough to report on this disastrous accident without the need to illustrate all the gory details?

Look......bottom line...a guy in a tracksuit, crash helmet on, climbs into a cannon and is blasted 30 or 40yrds into a non existent collapsing safety net and lands on his head.
That is NEWS and the pictures just illustrate the folly.
To be quite honest I thought that the "Human Canonball" had been made illegal....Health and Safety and all that.

I agree with sqad in that the photos aren`t gory. The man was intact. I`m not sure whether it is necessary to put of a picture of him about to die in the papers but I think that journalistic reporting is much more graphic than it used to be. Several years ago an old photographer in the States died and when his family went through his old negatives they found a picture of Buddy Holly`s body lying in the snow where it was thrown from the plane crash. He never sold the pictures because he thought they were insensitive. It would be very different today. A friend of mine who lives in Barcelona said they showed the stoning of an Arabic princess on TV there. Britain`s reporting of many incidents is less graphic than in some places.
Our papers don't show anything like that at all. No war images- no body bags. Occasionally you'll get camera footage from helicopter's gun cameras on tv, but even that is rare. No idea why. I found the images to be chilling but part of that was just from the details of the story. I would have much rather seen the photo of the kid on his motorcycle and left the last few minutes of his life out.

I also will defend you from the criticism you have received for posting the link. It was obvious from your post that the pictures were Graphic and unpleasant. If people didn't want to be shocked, they did not have to follow your link.
The DM is consistantly sensationalist. The moment a stuntman is killed or an attention seeker burning a poppy, the Mail Does not bother who it offends.
