can any of you good people out there please me if a wisteria should flower every year because mine doesn't,at what intervals should it flower ? thanks ever so.

grannie, yes it should. My neighbour has one and she follows a very specific pruning routine each year - she prunes twice a year - and hers is magnificent this year.
Prune twice a year Jan and August and should flower every year.
As above....you must get that pruning right to get the flowers. I prune early Aug then again early feb.

However, my dads wisteria produces hundreds of flowers but the sparrows eat all the buds in a matter of hours !!!!
