employee discounts
"Not surprisingly, one of our most popular benefits – a generous employee discount in purchases in Boots Health and Beauty stores and on-line and Opticians practices. In Boots Health and Beauty stores and on-line you’ll save 22.5% on Boots branded products and 12.5% for non-Boots branded products. In Boots Opticians, you’ll get a free eye test and save a massive 70% on 3 pairs of glasses per year. Plus we will give you discount vouchers for your friends and family to use in our practices."

My offers
"We give you a choice of over 100 great savings and discounts for you and your family to enjoy on a huge range of products and services including childcare vouchers, health insurance, travel, sports and fitness, electrical products, insurance and finance, toys and children’s activities."

So it looks like they do discounts for travel, but strictly speaking it's for employees and their family only, not friends. (though they may not check who uses the vouchers)
i get loads of stuff cheap, we have an employee discount scheme that either gives us cashback or a discoutned price on loads of stuff
Same for the NHS.

We can get something like 10-15% off a brand new Volkswagen.
Are these classed as benefits-in-kind by HMRC ?
