I'll give it a try anyway. On Friday evening my mobile rang from a number I didn't recognise. When I answered it nobody spoke but I could hear people in the background talking to each other. Realised it was a friend of mine, Paul, talking to his sister and that they were unaware of having called me. So I ended the call and thought no more of it. I saw Paul's sister today and told her about the call and she said, "Oh that explains it. He's got a new phone and you're on Speed Dial and when he looked at his phone on Saturday morning it showed he'd made a 10-hour call to you." Will he be charged and if so OMG what is it going to cost him?
My Dh used to do this on his horrible phone from 3 I was number 1 on his speed dial. I used to ring off and could use my phone but it didn't disconnect his and if I rang him back I would get the engaged tone. They are called bum or butt calls http://www.urbandicti...e.php?term=Bum%20Call
Reminds me of one employee who was sacked, he left his desk on Friday and dialled Tokyo speaking clock and left the phone in his desk drawer. Don't know how much that costs.
...and it doesn't matter that I rang off after a minute or so? How could he still be connected to me? He reckons it happened because the phone was in his pocket and must have got knocked or something,

Gran that makes sense I suppose. If I had realised he was still connected I could have done something about it, like call him on his landline and warn him. I think I switched my mobile off a few minutes after I ended his call.
