Thank you, Mamyalynne.

Your 'goodnight song' has just had the opposite effect upon the cat sleeping on knee. I clicked on the 'play' button and the volume through my headphones was so loud that she woke up, startled by the noise. She's made a mental note to dig her claws in if she ever meets you!
Oh heck, won't tell you my address then, did she get you anywhere nasty?
Sorry, Chris, but I am glad to know my hearing aids did not have a sudden surge on battery power ☺

She simply looked up at me, with a look of total disgust, and went straight back to sleep ;-)

I'd like to do the same but I don't want to disturb her. After nearly 6 months of trying to get her to go to sleep on my knee, she finally did so at 0130 yesterday, just as I was planning to go to bed. So I had to sit here until 0230 when she woke up. She's been on my knee for an hour or two now, so it might be a sleepless night for me! There are times when I wish she'd sleep in her own house. (She's not my cat!).

Thanks, Ttffn.

I can now stop tinkering with the settings on my audio card, to try to reduce the sudden surge in volume!
go on make me feel guilty, why don't you.
Excellent!

I'm getting images of Wolfie Smith in my head.
