It should never have been taken from him in the first place, all he did was sleep with a team mates girlfriend
The other 2 recent captains Rio Ferdinand and Steve Gerrard are hardly angels - Ferdinand is a drugs cheat and Gerrard beat up a DJ in a bar
Anyway Ferdinand is so injury prone these days so it makes sense to have a skipper who is available for every game

Everyone seems to have overlooked the fact that both John Terry and Vanessa Perroncel have always denied having an affair !
Miss Perroncel has had several newspaper apologies and settlements for untrue allegations about the alleged affair made by the papers.
The whole captain issue illustrates what a shambles it is under Cappello - the man should not be England manager - the World Cup was a fiasco, he doesn't have the confidence of the players, If he had been planning to give the captaincy back to Terry, why was the armband passed to so many different players during the last friendly with Denmark ?
Other than Terry, Gerrard and Ferdinand there are no captaincy candidates
Parker is not International class but is a good squad player.

John Terry's performance should be judged on his football performance,not his alleged performance anywhere else.
He's the best man for the job in my opinion.I couldn't give a monkeys what he does in his private life.

No they didn't admit they were wrong they apologised for breaching her privacy. This means that some of what they said may have been untrue i.e she slept with 5 Chelsea players, but they didn't admit they were wrong.
It tells you so much about this countrys moral compass that a "man" like this is seen as a role model and is defended. Remember this is only high profile because of Wayne Bridge what about the other affairs and scandals.

I hate the term "role model"..It's an Americanism and a load of bull.

I'm not defending him - but Terry and the ex girlfriend of Bridge have always strenuously denied an affair !
And until one of them admits it - thats all it was ! - an alleged affair
