How can I delete a toolbar?

I'm using Windows XP and Firefox. I have about 6 different toolbars but only want 2 of them. I know how to turn them off so that they don't show on the screen but is there any way to completely get rid of or uninstall the ones I don't want?

Either control panel > add remove programs.

Or

In firefox click the tools menu > add ons and then click on the Extensions tab.

dont add them in the first place check your downloads if it say add .. toolbar uncheck it
