I want to make sandwiches (to take for lunches) for as long as possible, and freeze the lot. I like tuna, I've heard cucumber goes mushy if you freeze it. Can I freeze tuna & sweetcorn? What about any other types of sandwich?

Sweetcorn should be OK as you can buy frozen sweetcorn, can't you?  I'd look in the freezers at supermarkets to see what's frozen and then go from there.  Meat and stuff should be ok, but make sure it's defrosted properly.  Won't the whole lot go soggy and horrible though as it defrosts?  Wouldn't you be best off (if money no expense) buying those sandwich fillers in tins/jars and just taking them into work with two slices of frozen bread and filling them when you're ready to eat?

Only our American cousins could come up with an organisation called the 'National Center for Home Food Preservation' - it's based at the University of Georgia - but that would seem to be the place to go for getting every possible answer about freezing foods:

Hoping this helps,

if you cant freeze sarnies then if you like pasta or something make a massive batch of pasta salad at beginning of week instead.  Dont know if you can freeze it, but should keep in the fridge for a while I would have thought.

Garlic sausage (or other cold meat), grated cheese and chilli sauce.
GeF .......thats just plain WEIRD
just freeze the filling in sandwich bags divided into portions, then take it with you in the morning and by luchtime it should be thawed enough to put in your bread, just squeeze it out the bag
i freeze my daughters sandwiches for her lunch - they tend to be of the meat variety. its easier than the morning rush and means they stay cool till lunchtime. when you take them out of the freezer if you wrap the sandwiches in kitchen roll before putting them in foil/cling film this stops them being soggy as the kitchen roll absorbs the water.
