I am 66 and my husband had worked for the company for over 25 years and we have been married for 20 years. the company he worked for just closed and he his about to collect a huge pension. He told me that I will not see any money from his pension and I was wondering if I was entitle to any and if so can I file a claim to what i am entitled to.
Absolutely Chaffinch. We do have a few very knowledgeable people in the law section, but even they will advise seeing a solicitor as no one case is the same.
It would help if ahvintage could give some idea as to where the relationship stands. Are you divorced, divorcing or happily married and you just want to share his pension money?
currently married, but don't share the same bedroom. He has does not share anything with anyone, including his food, movies and so on. He keeps all his DVD'S packed away in a box and logged them in a book just incase one is missing. Everything in the home came out of my own pocket including the food he eats.

My sister was divorced after 27 years of marriage, I don't know the details of the settlement (I never asked) but I do know that when her ex qualified to draw his pension from British Coal she recieved 50% as she showed me the paper work
