Oh no it isn't! perlease! Are MP's now supposed to recognised a Bandit on sight and hence modify their rhetoric? Suppose it could have been worse..."he's behind you!"

Isn't it the case here Geezer that you are homophobic yourself and are therefore looking to justify homophobic rhetoric in others?

Or do you not think of yourself as homophobic?
It's oviously a reference to his sexuality. It doesn't really work as a joke otherwise does it?, but you know what, who cares - it's like Harman's ginger rodent 'joke' - a bit dodgy, but nothing to make a fuss about.
So, it's okay on here for loads of posters to decry certain nationalities for their religious beliefs etc, but when a poster uses a word like "Bandit" he is threatened with being banned?

Let's be totally honest, AB is not whiter than white and should not conveniently hide behind its rules unless they are going to be used fairly and consistently across the board. In which case bannings would be all the rage.

There are all kinds of bigots on AB, myself included, but it seems to be that there's a particular taboo about comments regarding homosexuals. Why? It's completely inconsistent and very out of kilter with human behaviour. We see blatant and flagrant breaches of the AB rules day in, day out, but it would appear that certain bias, insult, bad language and bigotry is tolerated whereas other similar conduct is not.

Will this post be deleted I wonder?

I'm not homophobic/racist or any ist, I sometimes use un PC terms mainly to wind up the PC mafia. So I can understand how you might think that jake.
you sure you're not a workshyscummist? You sound like one.
So..........
Any passing gayer who is offended by your usage of the word 'Bandit' is just collateral damage in your quest to provoke and rattle the cages of any *hetties* who might be sufficiently evolved to realise that the term can be offensive ?

Have I got that right ?
http://dictionary.ref...com/browse/homophobia

unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality.

That not you Geezer?
Question Author
No, I hope the more intellegent will realise the situation as jake and other regulars do.
Question Author
Yes jno I can own up to being a workshyscumist!
So people are expected to 'know what you're like' rather than rely on your written word ?
Jack, if you think something on here is offensive, report it - that's what that facility is for.
If I did, I would, Ludwig.

I just wanted to be clear about Geezers motives, s'all.
Question Author
Gays are not offended anyway unless it suits them, they call each other all the gay words that we can;t mention, it's like most PC cobblers, the offence is taken by some liberal on behalf of those they think might be offended.
Well you wouldn't dispute that you have an antipathy to gays I'm sure so I guess that you must take issue with the unreasoning part.

I don't understand your reasoning - perhaps you could enlighten me so that I don't think you're homophobic
Call me naive, but am I understanding from the this thread that Bandit is another word for Gay? If so - first time I've heard it. A Bandit is a Bandit, IMO http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bandit
(and there used to be very nice biscuits called Bandits - even a Q on here five years about them! http://www.theanswerb.../Question108911.html)
How do you spot a gay?

They're the ones dressed in tight leather during summer drinking soft-drinks at the bar...

Oh, hold on...
