Thank you ttfn, mamya and ummmm. The hospice are just waiting for the call and I will go then but her husband is insisting she stays at home till the last minute which is up a staircase which I cannot manage. Fortunately she has a lot of friends who can.

ummmm - sadness is just one emotion. I think of my life as kaleidoscopic - just substitute colours for emotions and events that come my way. I try to deal with all of them as best I can. If we could avoid one or more emotions we would not be as strong as we become :o)
