thanks boo, if a moderator reports an aber can they be banned ?
Maybe we need a how/when/if and who the Mods are?

Ed?
Not just because someone, not even a moderator reported them (I'm assuming) no.

I'm sure they can be suspended, but ultimately, the Ed and Spare Ed will have the final so over whether its a perma ban.

That's the way I understand it anyway.

the same question. but can an aber be suspended rather than banned ?
hope you have seen pussnboots thread just loaded...that raises questions to me.....and a common theme here today.
I fail to see why knowing who the mods are will make a difference to anyone?

We all, as adults, should be able to self moderate ourselves. It's only a question and answer site afterall, and I like to think the majority of us possess more than 2 braincells and can figure out what's acceptable or not.

Just because some twonks fall into the small percentage who have 2 or under braincells and we have ot have moderators, should'nt impact on the rest of us, so therefore knowing who they are is pointless.

Plus- don't you think us knowing who they are well make their own AB time pretty bloody miserable with folks constantly being asked "why...?". I'm assuming they do this on a volunteer basis, so hardly fair to make their time on here a misery.
A moderator is more likely to suspend a member than to simply report them. When a moderator clicks the 'Suspend' button he/she has to submit a report to the editor, explaining his/her action.

It's then entirely up to the editor as to whether to ban the member or not. (Some moderator's reports might say something like 'Just giving them time to calm down', so it's extremely unlikely that the Ed would ban that member. But if the report says 'Using racist and inflammatory language to directly insult another member' it's unlikely that the member would be allowed to stay).
