I understand that there is a job in existence whereby the the employee jets off all around the work carrying a breifcase, and then stays in all the finest hotels of the world. This job is called Executive Courier, and the lucky person involved gets paid for this role. I have looked into this, but all I can find on the Internet are flights which are subsidised if you carry certain items for a company. This is not what I want as I wish to be paid for this role, and wish to make it my chosen profession.

I live in the West Midlands area, and am within travelling distance of both Birmingham and also Manchester airports. I also have a current valid passport, good references, and am willing and able to start work at once.

Do any of your ABers do this, or know of anyone who does this job? It sounds too good to be true, but someone has to do it.

Thanks as usual for any replies.

why does someone have to do it? Why would any company pay someone to take a briefcase all over the world and stay in posh hotels?
Search on Google for Drug Mule...
It does sound like a good job but the down sides to it will be jet lag you suffer and spending time away from your family . . .
If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
snags is quite correct.
Am I likely to find that job being advertised at the local job centre, snags?
no Chuck, because I pick the best ones off the boards for my mates ;o)
No chuck... but I can put you in touch with my mate 'Fernando Sanchez' if you like?
Try being an air hostess, you don't even need to carry a briefcase.
I assume the gravedigging job went tits up, then.
Sugar! wish you'd posted last week I saw a job for just that - only snag was you had to have the words "unrealistic dreamer" tattooed on your forehead
A friend of mine is a worlwide courier ... he delivers parts for aircrafts ... they must fit in hand luggage.
Yes he does jet off around the world ... (you make it sound glamorous, but is there any other way to get around the world quickly ?).
He arrives at the destination airport and looks out for someone with a board with his name on it ... he then hands the parts over, and heads for the departures lounge.
No hotels and not very glamorous..!

Thanks for all your helpful answers, but not sure where to go from here. I suppose I would have to live near an airport, my nearest one is nearly 2 hours away. That is an interesting answer, alavahalf, delivering aircraft parts. How would an aircraft engine or tyre fit into hand luggage, by the way? Do you think you could tell me the name of this company, so that I can apply? I have Googled this, but to no avail.

As I have said before I am ready to go anywhere, and start at once.
Not sure if its the only one but I saw a show once and the job your describing is civil service - Its something to do with the foriegn office and its fairly junior I also think they only gave the job to ex service men but I could be wrong.

Also if as I recall it was pretty much as alavahalf describes.
