Raiders of the lost ark

Why is it that you cant buy the classic Raiders of the Lost Ark on DVD ? As far as I have seen in stores and online, the film is available to buy only aspart of the Indiana Jones Triliogy - box set. I am not keen on the other two Indy films and therefore would love to own the first - Raiders of the Lost Ark complete with special features etc. Any ideas ??

All three films have only been released on DVD as the trilogy boxset.  You can buy them individually on VHS.

Probably because the 2 sequels where rubbish, and wouldn't sell well as seperate releases.

i disagree strongly, all three films were FANTASTIC

Raiders of the Lost Ark is an all time action adventure classic at its perfection.

Temple of Doom simply had a thin plot and overloaded with humour - far too comical.

Last Crusade had a much interesting plot complete with fresh new characters - notably Sean Connery, but it lacks the darkness and thrills compared to the classic Radiers of the Lost Ark.

Incdently, I wonder how they will make Indy 4 as Harrison Ford is reaching retirement.
