Peppermint tea is good and I take Buscopan when I get the gripes .
I also avoid the foodstuffs which I now know trigger it off .
Have you seen a doctor ?
avoid trigger foods and try to de-stress
Question Author
Yes lots of doctors & specialists even had a Laporoscopy just recently. Taking buscopan as we talk shaneystar
are you under the doctor, kat? Several people in OH's family have, medication seems to help.
I take Mbeverine on prescription.......only thing that works for me.
Question Author
Think the doctors have given up on me boxtops! I am a stressfull person.
the only thing that worked for me was to avoid foods that set me off, mebeverene and buscopan were useless
It's a funny old thing kat .What works for one doesn't work for another .I do sympathise
Have you tried keeping a food diary ? I find bread and dairy my biggest problems .And of course as cazzz says stressful situations don't help .
Question Author
I've had mebeverene craft but dosent work. I'll try a food diary shaney & see if i can see what food triggers it off.
Colpermin - you can get it from Boots.
knowing what foods sets it off is essential kat, once you remove the triggers you can start feeling normal again. however nice the food is, its not worth the cramps and pain
My trigger food is chocolate and I just must have a square of it every day, and I`m up every night at 3am in the loo paying for it.
One to try and is safe is Gripe water, intended for babies but helps with mine, though in fairness mine is not constant or severe.
I didn't know you could still get it, mamya! - I remember that well from my younger days.

hot water bottle on tummy. I also take Colofac which is brand name for Mebeverine, they don't work straight away and normally take about a week to work.
I've just started taking colofac and it seems to do the job- I've found its eggs that set me off, mayo is the worst.
