Caught a bit of his show on T.V last night before I fell asleep, has anyone else noticed his nervous tic?
Whenever someone speaks to him about tarot etc, his eyes start to twitch and he blinks excessively.
It's not a serious question, I just thought it was funny.

I suspect that the desire to laugh at people in embarrassing or awkward circumstances occurs only in people with limited intellect. It is a sad reflection on society that so many people find amusing the kind of TV shows that poke fun at people. The producers of the shows should be ashamed of themselves. It is not clever, it degrades all concerned
Jomifl – To answer your question I would say what I said earlier. I was born in a Muslim family and there you might say (as many others do) I was indoctrinated. But I know and I surely do not have to prove to anyone that my faith in what I am strengthened more as I grew up and I studied more about other religions and beliefs including atheism. Once I compared and while doing that and a bit due to the questions I faced on this website, I looked more into finding the answers of those questions as well as the ones I already had in my mind. I did find out more about Islam including answers to all those questions and I was more satisfied. So where someone might say that I was born and that is the reason I believe then I must say that very simply those people are wrong.
to Keyplus, Thanks for your considered reply, I am glad to hear that you questioned the religion that you were born into before accepting it wholeheartedly.
'the desire to laugh at people in embarrassing or awkward circumstances occurs only in people with limited intellect'

rather simple view, taking the intellectual highground isnit. some of the most intellectual comedy has been based on just such scenarios.
Hi ankou, I take it you mean simple in the sense of uncomplicated, not simple as in laughing at other's misfortunes. Besides I limited my comment to a particular type of comedy. You are blurring the edges of my statement. I do take issue with you over whether the type of comedy you refer to has much if any intellectual content though, perhaps you would like to develop your thoughts in that area so that we can all benefit.
yes simple as in .... simple.
and i don't recall you mentioning comedy, whether limited or not.
Ankou, You are absolutely correct I did not mention comedy, so point made then?

Dawkins was like a fish out of water surrounded by these new age types, he looked like he was going to explode, hilarious!
I suppose we've all been in situations like that at some time.
Ask yourselves, if that bloke who runs Christian Voice(?) (creepy looking fellow) was put into room full of scientists with the same attitudes and temperment of Richard Dawkins, you wouldn't find his discomfort comedic?
jomifl, my point was already made.
I'm sure it was.
My penchant for good manners would never allow me to take pleasure in someone else's discomfort, Everton, but I don't expect you to understand that.
..... actually, thinking about it, it's far more than good manners. I simply don't find someone else's discomfort in the least bit funny. Why would I? That would be cruel.
reading no end of your writings to keyplus, i very much doubt that.

or is that fair game in your world ?
What you mean 'fair game' Ankou? Is there something wrong with Keyplus that I'm unaware of? Of course, I only know him through AB, but he appears to join these discussions willingly and seems more than competent when he's insulting his opponents here, but if you know him more intimately and know of some valid reason why I should make special allowances for him, do please be kind enough to tell me.
